Now, This is Recovery !!

Jesse had her weekly appointment yesterday. Her blood and marrow is making a recovery. Again, she did not need a blood transfusion, and they can tell from the sample of blood that she has started to make her own. Her white blood count went up as did her platelets. They have scheduled her broviac to be taken out on Oct 16th. Jesse was disappointed with the late date, but we reminder her that it WILL be coming out. I offered to remove it for her, but she declined. Hmm go figure :)
Jesse and I are off this weekend to Bison Ranch to a womens retreat for some much needed R&R with the ladies from church. We also went last year around this time, and did not know that Jesse had Leukemia. When we think back, we remember that she was tired that weekend with headaches. Little did we know her Red & white blood cells were so low, as were her platelets. A week later is when the year long journey began.
We are so thankful that Jesse is improving daily and able to feel somewhat normal again.
Much Love,
Team Catron

Alright Jesse! Have a wonderful time at the retreat. May God refresh you spiritually, and continue to heal you physically. (Keep Teddy out of trouble up there).

The Rieger Family

Grandma and Grandpa said...

'Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord,
Let the earth hear His voice;
Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord, Let the people rejoice,
Oh come to the Father through Jesus, His Son,
And give Him the glory, great things He has done!'

That is song that burst from my lips, when I read the Journal. That is the song I wake up in the night singing, when I wake up praying for the Catron 5 Family.

What more can I say? Give Him the praise and glory for the great things He has done and is doing.

Have a wonderfully refreshing time at the Retreat, Jesse and Deanna.

Our love and prayers always,

Dear Jesse,

I cannot tell you how relieved, and pleased, Mor Mor and I are know that things are improving the way they are. I know you have been disappointed so many times when things seemed to be getting better, only to experience another downturn, and have to start the battle yet again.

We pray that this time, you find yourself on the road to recovery, with none of the setbacks you've had to endure before.

Mor Mor and I have been very busy trying to bring to completion all the projects facing us with the new house. And we are getting much closer. Mor Mor was working me so hard when we were putting in all the plants, and the yard, that I lost about 15 pounds. Then I got hungry and put some of it back on. Oops,

Dutchess, Bjorn, and Sachi seem to be comfortable in their constantly changing surroundings, although lately things have stabilized, so it's beginning to look like home. They are very good watchdogs, and Bjorn and Dutchess think they have to sound the alarm every time they see movement outside.

We see deer very often, almost daily sometimes. Bucks are not common, but we see does often, and many times with fawns. They browse the Blair Buffet Line which I installed specifially for them (you would think), but Mor Mor has been putting a liquid on the plants and shrubs to deter them. It's foul smelling when it's first applied, but it seems to be quite effective.

Clam digging season just re-opened, but the beaches are temporarily closed to digging due to PSP (paralytic shellfish poisoning). It occurs naturally, from time to time, doesn't hurt the shellfish, but can harm (or even kill) humans), when it is present. It will go away in the near future, and then, after the tests confirm that the beaches are again safe, we'll be able to dig some razors.

We think of you every day, and we rejoice when we hear that you are improving. We love you, and so look forward to seeing you soon.

Jesse it blesses my heart to see how God has just moved His mighty hand over you and has COMPLETELY healed your body. You and your family have been a joy to know. The first day you came into my son's life (Matt) both Judy and I new that you were a special child of God. Thank you for bringing joy to our family and we love you so very much. Keep His word close to your heart and keep on believing that through Christ He give you strength to carry on. Enjoy the retreat, I know Matt will be extremely bored while you are gone.

Love you,
Mark and Judy
