End of week Three

Good morning to all of Jesse's friends and family,

Today is the last day of week three of captivity for Jes. Maybe if she is lucky she will come home some time in week four. I sure hope so. It was part of "His" plan though that Jesse would have a stay in the Hospital. They have found that the meds she was taking for the HHV6 virus was not working so they have to try something else. This is a deadly virus and is to be taken serious. We would have never know this if she was home.

The doctors still don't know when they are taking Jesse's Gall Bladder out. They are leaning towards Tuesday.

Jesse's hair is coming back thick. She has a solid head of stubs every where and it feels soft. We took 3 walks yesterday. We went down to get some gum at the gift store but is was closed so we walked all the way back to the room. That is a lot of exercise for Jes and she has to rest after that.

We had a movie marathon yesterday. Three movies one after the next. We did take our walks in between just to stretch out. I think the longer you lay in bed the worse you feel. At least that is how it works on me.

Jesse had biscuits and gravy for breakfast this morning. Jesse was half way done and started coughing which caused her to throw it up. I was half way done with my sandwich and I lost my appetite. She doesn't feel nauseous but the coughing causes throwing up. She feels fine now and will have something else later.

That's the latest and greatest for my baby today. The ANC count isn't back yet. Just sitting with her though she says she feels fine and I can't tell you all how happy that makes me.

Have a great Sunday

Dad

I am glad that things are going better. It may not seem like it, but it does sound like a lot of progress. Hang in there! Darla

Hang in there dear ones ... Praise the Lord that you were in the hospital long enough to find out about the meds/virus. Praying that they will quickly discover one that will wipe it out. I just know that the LORD's spirit is heavy upon and within you at this moment. Rest in it. Let Him carry you. Praying.

3 movie marathon, wow! Your eyes must have been blurry. Can't wait to see a picture of all your new hair Jesse. We've had Make-A-Wish kids that had their straight hair come back curly and curly headed ones come back straight. Wonder what yours will do????

I took part in the annual Relay For Life Cancer Walk in Prineville over the weekend. Our team "Tim's Team" (for our good friend Tim Birkby) raised over $3000 and was only one of 20+ teams. Maybe with fundraisers and such for research we can get this disease wiped off the face of the earth.

Hang in there and hope you are home soon minus that gallbladder!

Love from the Rieger Family

"Therefore I will look unto the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation: My God will hear me.
Rejoice not against me, O my enemy: when I fall, I SHALL ARISE; when I sit in darkness, the LORD SHALL BE A LIGHT UNTO ME." Micah 7:7,8. Romans 8:37, "In ALL these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loves us."

God's timing is always perfect. I have learned, and am still learning, not to get upset over delays and schedule changes. I have lived to see many times that a delay, or change, has saved me from injuries, and even my life. We are selfish and impatient people, who want things the way we want them, when we want them. However, life is so much easier when we can say, "Jesus, your will in my life",and then lay back in His arms and let Him orchestrate our life in His way and timing.--But it is difficult to do, and something we don't learn overnight, or very easily.

Jesse, we are so happy to hear that you are doing better, and able to eat. We've continued to pray for miracles for you, and I think the doctors finding the virus meds weren't working, is one of them. So don't fret about being kept in the hospital. We have been asking for a miracle regarding you having surgery, but you having it may be the miracle.

We love you all, Catrons 5, and are holding you up before our Lord God, 24/7, knowing He loves you beyond our comprehension, and will keep you safe and protected in His care.
