Whoo Hooo ANC 108 !!!
Good Morning, Jesse must have done some kind of ANC dance last night, her ANC doubled to 108. The nurses seem to think she will be out of here by Tuesday !!! For any newbies to the blog, ANC is a number given to indicate your immune system. You take your neutraphils and times them by your white blood cell count. A normal ANC is 10-20 thousand. Jesse needs to be at 250 to leave the hospital, and it will rise at home. After about 4 weeks, it should be around 4,000. It may take 6 months to become completely normal again. We did find out today that the day Jesse was first admitted in Oct, her ANC was only 343 !!
We are so excited to finally be going home. We will need to go to out patient twice a week for platelet and blood transfusion along with other meds to support her immune system.
My parents will be coming this month for a visit and Clents will be coming in July. What a great time to have family around and celebrate the end of this long journey.
Much Love, Team Catron
