Day 5

Good Morning,

Jesse's day yesterday was both bad and good. When I arrived at the hospital we were able to watch two movies, only a couple times did she throw up during them. I think throughout the whole day she threw up about 5 times. Last night she didn't throw up at all, but unfortunately she did have to go to the bathroom every other hour, It was a horrible night. It was so hard to get her to the bathroom before she exploded because we had to quickly unhook and untangle her from her heart rate monitor. I really hope tonight will be easier.

So far today Jesse is doing pretty good. She was able to take a shower and is now doing her makeup. The only thing that could make things even better is if she could walk better without getting a loss of breath, or if she could be relieved of her headaches throughout the whole day. Also, she has become quite delusional. She'll start talking about the most random things, and shes not even talking to me. I just pretty much have to sit back and just watch because its pretty funny. This all might be the cause of one of her pains medication, so they are going to decrease them until she starts getting her chemo treatments again.

We are truly blessed with the new neighbors we have. They are Christians who go to the Cornerstone church. They had a couple of their members from church come here yesterday to talk with them and give them some support. It reminded me when of when Pastor Tod, Brett, Teddy and Alan, Erica and David, etc, came to pray for us. It was awesome to hear their prayers yesterday, it gave me the chills. They have a 7 week old little girl who I think has cancer in her liver. Please be praying for this little one and her family.

Also pray that the rest of this day goes smoothly.

I want to thank you all again for your amazing support. It's truly appreciated.

Much love,

~Kota~

Oh thanks for sharing Dakota! You are such a sweet sister.

I'm still praying for you Jesse!

Lord, I lift up Jesse today. Would You strengthen her today? Show her Your love in a special way, I pray!

Love,
Julie

"You will keep him in perfect (tranquil) peace, whose mind is stayed (settled) on you; because he trusts in you. Trust in the Lord forever; for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength." Isaiah 26:3,4

Jesse, so glad you girls are together for a couple of days. Thanks for writing, Dakota. I always appreciate your thoughts and perspectives, and your great love for your sister. We are so proud of all of our granddaughters, thank God for you, and pray God's blessings and protection for you always. Stand strong and firm in the Lord as you climb the mountain. This stormy valley is being left behind you, day by day.

Grandpa's eye surgery went well. We have to go back tomorrow to have the patch taken off, and to have the Doctor check that every thing is like it should be. Did I ever tell you what a good driver Grandpa is? He can drive from the passenger's side as well as from the driver's.:)

We are praying, Jesse, that this next round of chemo doesn't hurt your head and body as badly as the last. Praise the Lord, it is almost over!!

Holding you tightly in our hearts and spirits, and loving you all dearly,

Grandma and Grandpa
