Day 3

Good Morning,

Jesse and I did not get much sleep. This seems to be a repeat of round one. Jesse has had a fever from 101-105 since the first day. She is shaking with the chills, and vomiting every time she sits up. The cause is most likely the Cyterabine, but they have taken cultures to be sure. Jesse's head hurts so bad, on a scale of 1-10, it is a 15. They are giving her pain meds and Tylenol around the clock. Jesse had her much dreaded first chemo shot on Sunday. They first numbed her leg, then iced it. We where all prepared for the worst. The nurse shot it in, and we asked Jes how bad was it, and she gave it a pain 4. I think her head hurt so bad, the shot did not compare. Jesse will have 3 days with no chemo, but that it not such a relief as one might think. The 3 days she has already received is very strong, and will continue to beat her down. On Thursday night, she will get the first of the last 4 doses, ending Saturday Morning. Then one final shot and she is done!!! She already cant make the walk to the bathroom, so we have a bedside commode. They will be testing her today for C-diff, the intestinal bacteria.

It is hard to see her in such bad shape, and it is only the 3rd day. I am not sure how much her body can really take.

Please pray for Jesse-

Ouch! For sure you are in our prayers Jesse, as is your family. Heartbreaking for a parent to watch, I can't even imagine. Hang in there Jesse, at least there is a light at the end of this long tunnel.

"The everlasting God is your place of safety, and His arms will hold you up forever." Deuteronomy 33:27

Stand firm in your faith, Catrons. God WILL see you through this. Don't give in to the negative "I can't", Jesse girl; you can bear all because Jesus is holding you in His arms, and He will give you strength. When the pain is the worst, call His name and try to think on all of the good things He is. I know it is hard, but I know it works.

We are 'standing in the gap'in prayer for all of you; and praising God that Jesus went through torment and pain and shed His precious blood for us, so He knows what you are going through.

We love you beyond any words can express!

I can't imagine . . . just simply can't imagine. It hurts to read this, but we read EVERY day, Jesse, and think of you constantly, and the prayers do not stop. You are a warrior like no other! All of the Catrons are!

One of my hikers buddies, my very best bff in the world, gave me a gift to give to Jesse. Tito and I will deliver it very soon - I hope it will give you some good moments and relief.
