Working Out

Good Morning,
So, Have you ever seen someone walking on a treadmill hooked to an IV machine? That's Jesse sporting her new hair do. I had to stand right by her, I was afraid she would loose her balance, fall off the back and rip the tube right out of her chest. Thankfully, she got in her walk and did not fall off. Jesse is trying to strengthen her legs, she is off balance when she walks, and her knees buckle when she steps off anything.
We are off to outpatient again for her meds and blood work.
Have a great day,
Team Catron

Hi! My name is Michelle, and I happened to be surfing the web and found you this afternoon.

I don't know many details about your situation, but I want to encourage you. God is sooooo good!

My husband left several years ago, so I'm a 37 year-old single Mom. I have three jobs, so hearing that I had pre-cancerous cells rocked my world a few months ago.

I'm a teacher, so I asked, "Can I have surgery in June? Then I'll have three months to recover without using 30+ sick days."

He said, "Sure, but you'll probably need chemotherapy and radiation. I suggest you get it done now."

I had surgery on January 21st. ;o)

He not only removed all of the pre-cancerous cells but also some fibroids that he hadn't detected at all. Although I haven't fully recovered, I'm back to work and back in the ministry (teaching Bible study, filling in for pastor as needed, music director at church).

My two beautiful, teenage boys were wonderful and helped me when I could barely move without crying. It sounds as if you've got a mighty support system too, eh?

I don't claim to "have it all together." In fact, God's still working on me! He has never left my side, and I'm in awe of how he has taken full care of me when I was scared to death. :o)

Please know that you are not alone on your journey. God loves you, and I are too! If you need anything (to vent, to scream, to pray, to share an incredible blessing, etc.), please don't hesitate to write back.

You matter to me. You are beautifully and wonderfully made! I pray that the Lord watches over your precious heart and keeps you at peace at all times.

Keep smiling, sweetie pie! You are in my prayers.

Hi, I stopped by after reading Julie's blog. I love the picture of Jesse on the treadmill. I have a blog called Heart Choices and I'm always trying to encourage women to exercise for their health. What an inspiration to see your commitment despite an IV. BTW, I worked for 25 years as a cardiovascular nurse. I'm also a Christian and I would be honored to pray for you. Julie has been such an encouragement to me so I would love to check in on her friends too. :)

"God be merciful to us, and bless us, and cause your face to shine on us: Selah (think about that!) That your way may be known upon the earth, your saving health among all nations. Let the people praise you, O God, let all the people praise you. O let the nations be glad and sing for joy; for you shall judge the people righteously, and govern the nations upon the earth. Selah. Let the people praise you, O God; let all the people praise you. THEN shall the earth yield her increase, and God, even our own God, shall bless us. God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear Him." Psalms 67.

Hi Jess, we like your picture, also. It looks so very normal of what you would 'have to try'. It is really a good thing to strengthen your muscles. In due time, when the earth warms up a little, it will be time to start gardening. I have been thinking that I need to start strengthening some muscles before that time comes upon me suddenly and says "here I am, go to work!" And I say, "Oh no, not already!" And my muscles and back says "Yeah, and you are using WHAT to do that? Not me!"

What wonderfully encouraging messages you are getting, Jesse and all the Catrons! God is so good and kind to touch others, to touch us! I am so thrilled that people care, pray, and write. They encourage me, too, when I am so far away. I thank everyone, and pray God's blessings and favor on their lives.

We love you all and are continually praising and praying for you,

Grandma and Grandpa

Jesse you are a beautiful young woman! When I got on your page after reading Julie's. I was reminded of another beautiful young woman, my cousin Jaime. She, too, had the difficult blessing of leukemia. I know you may find it odd that I called it a blessing, but I know that the Lord is bringing blessing into your life through this battle....and I know that you are in turn blessing many people. Keep your eyes to Jesus and always know that He is there. And know that we are out here praying for you as well....keep the faith Ms. Jesse!

I found your blog through Julie's and just wanted to leave you an encouraging note. God is good ALL the time. His mercies are NEW every morning and his miracles are happening every day! Though we do not know the pain of the cancer diagnosis, our daughter, who is 2, has spent 1/3 of her life in a hospital fighting to live. By all accounts she should not be alive but I know that our Heavenly Father has a plan for her life. He has given us the privilege of seeing a miracle and I am humbled and honored.

I am praying for your miracle and complete healing! Keep fighting!
