Good morning to all of Jesse's friends and family,
I would like to start this post with telling everyone what a special day this is for us. For several reasons. The most important one is this is the day we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus from the tomb. That is what gives Christianity it's validity. That is what gives me, and my family, the faith and strength to keep going through all of these trials with Jesse. To know he died for all of my sins (and everyone elses) even as unworthy as I am. He did what he said he would do. That makes everything else he said valid as well. By simply believing what he said is true and repenting from sin, and accepting him as your Savior you are guarantied a home in Heaven for eternity. It's a big concept but what a joy to know you are loved enough for him to sacrifice his own life for us.
With staying with the theme of sacrifice I just have to say a special thanks to all the wonderful people and kids I have met at the Fowler Elementary School District. The job I am doing is remodeling the Fowler and Sunridge Elementary schools. The schools have a thing called "buck jean day" where they bring a dollar to school and they get to wear jeans. The dollar is used for different special occasions. The Principals of both schools, Belinda and Dora, decided to give the donation to Jesse. The kids wrote cards and drew pictures for Jesse too. Some made you laugh and some made you cry. I want to thank the teachers for all their time invested in this effort. It is so touching that these kids (most go without a lot of things we all take for granted) would give my daughter so much with their dollar and affection. All these people have really touched my heart and make me proud to be a part of the team working on their school.
There have been so many people reaching out to my family. In this tough time it is hard to mention everyone by name so I want to thank all of you. Your prayers and gifts and just calling and saying you are thinking about us all means so much. What a humbling experience to see so much love.
I am sure you are all wondering about Jesse. Doctor Dee has decided not to give Jes her TPN at night. When Jesse came home from the Hospital, Thursday night, she ate three little meals and she slept the whole night without throwing up (no TPN). She was feeling really great. Friday night Doctor Dee set Jes up with her TPN and within an hour and a half was throwing up and continued to through the night. Yesterday Dee forced Jesse to drink several nutritional drinks (Jesse hates the taste but doesn't throw them up) to keep her nutrition and hydration up. Last night she didn't throw up at all (no TPN). We are wondering if that is what was making Jesse so sick her last stay at home. As long as she keeps up the nutrition drinks and eats a little something Doctor Dee is staying away from the TPN.
Lindsay will be here tonight! I will have all my girls under my roof once again. That is all a Dad can ask for. Having the family all together will be great. Thanks for your sacrifice Nick. Giving up Malea's mom and your wife for a few days is very nice of you.
My heart has been touched by so many people I can't help but to continue to say thank you so much. Our friends Tito and Lisa have given our families journey to some influential friends of theirs. The work they are going to be doing will be amazing. Erica is working on this Ipod touch raffle. It just amazes me all the outreach people are doing. The church brings us food....it is all overwhelming to me.
Thank you all so much for all you are doing. If words could only express how you all have touched my family and my life. This has been a life changing experience in many ways. God bless you all and have a great Easter Sunday.
