Still Home

Good Morning,

I took Jesse in to the Outpatient yesterday to have her blood levels checked again. She is just so tired and her legs feel like lead weights, we thought her hemoglobin was low again. It really wasn't to low, but they gave her a bag of blood anyway. Everything in her blood work seemed ok, so we are really not sure why she is so sluggish. We did find out her platelets are only 49. She has to be at 75 to start round 4. I believe Jesse is the first one to be home for 3 weeks between rounds. They really don't want AML patients home more than 12 days. Jesse's body seems to fight the "plan" and I am sure the Doctors are just scratching their heads. It may seem nice that she is home so long, but really it gives her bone marrow a chance to grow leukemia cells, which is why they start the rounds just as quick as they can. We are scheduled to go back in Thursday AM (clents B.day) to check the platelets again. I am sure if they are not at 75, we will go back in Monday to check them again.

Clent is still recovering from his surgery. At night he still wakes up every couple hours, and has to sit at the edge of the bed for a half hour or more to relieve the pain. Slowly he seems to be improving.

Have a great day :)

Much Love, Team Catron

Team Catron,

Continued prayers for each one of you.

Is there a "Platlet" dance that can be done to get those numbers up. If there is, I will do the dance every second in my mind and privately at home to get those numbers up where they need to be.

I agree with other posters that God is going to do something really BIG with and for Team Catron.

Much love and prayers,

Grandma and Grandpa said...

"Know that the Lord is GOD: It is He that has made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and His courts with praise: Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is ever-lasting; and His truth endures to all generations." Psalms 100:3-5

We are praying for you, Catron family, day and night, and praising God in advance for all of the good and fantastic works He is doing for you, and the miracles that are coming soon. Keep looking for Him!

We love each of you bushels and pecks, hugs around the necks, barrels and heaps, and Grandma calls your names in her sleep! (And God hears me.)

Pat and Mick landed themselves a job at a sawmill. Just before morning tea Pat yelled: "Mick! I lost me finger!"

"Have you now?" says Mick. "And how did you do it?"

"I just touched this big spinning thing here like thi...

Darn! There goes another one!"

You guys remind me of the Jeremy Camp song, I Still Believe. You all are amazing...with everything you go through you continue to call Him your King! I love you all and am continually praying for you. Saw Lindsay this weekend and she is doing great. Her heart is so soft! You are all so blessed to be such a large family that sticks together with each other. Thank you for continually being an inspiration.

I have to say that being anemic, with your blood count low and feeling sluggish is pretty normal. It wasnt until I was back up to the normal 12 that I would feel completely good in the morning. I know Jess doesnt get to eat much right now but certain things like Vitamin C will help absorb iron and caffiene decreases the absorption. Remember to stay out of direct sunlight, it will drain ya. Not much to say but it was always good for me to know. Hope it helps. I pray that your count gets higher and higher.

Love you all,
