Back Home

Good Morning,

Jesse is doing well. When she was taken by ambulance, her Hemoglobin was 6-a normal number is closer to 12. So that explains turning white, low blood pressure and passing out. She received 3 blood transfusions, and woke up feeling great.

Jesse has an appointment tomorrow to check her counts again, with a bag of blood on order just in case. She will not be re-admitted for round 4 until sometime next week. Her platelets have to be 75, and we will have a new count tomorrow. Yesterday, they where still 34. This is not something they will transfuse just to get her there, she has to make them on her own.

We continue giving all her meds around the clock, and the dreaded foscarnet for her HHV6 3x a day. This process takes 1 1/2 hours, and at 11:30 pm we are finally done, and then start it up again at 6:00am.

All of this is certainly taking its tole on Team Catron, but we will continue to run the race one day at a time.

Much Love,
Team Catron

Boy do I wish we lived by you guys (even in the same state) so we could give you some help! Just know you are always in our thoughts and prayers - wish we could do more though! Glad Jesse is feeling better and will continue to get stronger for round 4. Hope Jesse got her angel bear we sent, she is a special bear just like Jesse and all of you.

Love from your Oregon friends,
Mark, Toni, Trevor and Austin

Hi Guys,

I am sorry to hear about the Hemoglobin. I can say that mine has been that low and incredibly painful when it was. Not sure if they told you this, but the sun will drain Jesse's overall energy drastically...make sure to keep her out of it. Thank the Lord for blood infusions and those who give blood...what a blessing. I am glad to hear that Jesse is doing much better. Hang in there Team. You have a gigantic team who is praying for you, better yet a Lord that will carry you.

We love you.
