Good Morning,
Today we will celebrate McKenzies 9th birthday. Our baby is not such a baby anymore. She is growing to be a beautiful young lady with a huge heart full of compassion. We Love You Kenzie :)

Jesse started off yesterday with a spinal tap and a shot of Chemo in her spine. They gave her a medication to relax her, but this time she was able to watch the procedure on a tv screen. How is that for weird..... She ate small amounts throughout the day, and as of yesterday, she has gained 8 pounds since last Monday. I believe she is almost at her original check in weight. The Marinal seems to be the key to eating and keeping it down. Jesse is sticking to her story "I never inhaled". I got to meet Jesse's roommate, Talia. She is two years old, and has a brain tumor. She has already had the surgery to remove it, and now receives chemo for the remainder of her treatments. Wednesday she will have her MRI to see if the tumor is still gone. What a little trooper to go through all this pain at such a young age. Our nights are rough, as she cries for a few hours in the wee hours of the night. I don't think I have heard so many beeps through the night. If baxter runs out of battery, it is not just a beep, but a siren that blares through the room. I think I need a cup of coffee just to keep my eyes open this morning. Does Starbucks deliver? The next two nights will be Kota's turn. Thank you Jo for watching over your sister, making her laugh and being her best friend.

Love and Prayers,

Team Catron

Hi Everyone

Happy Birthday McKenzie!! You are awesome. I really enjoy getting a chance to know you better when I was there visiting last month. Have a fantastic day!!!

Jesse, you continue to inspire me every day. I laughed about the "I didn't inhale" comment. Stick to it girl. But if you need to, go ahead!! Ha Ha

Have a great day everyone. My daily prayer is for God to rid this world of that terrible disease known as Cancer. I hope it happens soon. Keep a smile on your face everyone.

Love the Rieger's

Hey McKenzie ~ Happy Birthday! It was good seeing you Friday night at Youth. You are definitely a sweet heart, and I've enjoyed getting to know you! You are definitely 9, and you could pass as a 10 or 11 year old! ;)

Jesse, glad to hear that you're doing better. What a blessing. I think about you every single day and you're continually in my prayers. Get better soon!

We are praising the Lord for the good report and weight gain!! I, for one,(Grandma) just cannot thank and praise our wonderful heavenly Father enough.

Sorry I didn't write yesterday. We had to go to Radford (east) for me to see a doctor; then back to Wytheville (west)to pick up an order of Tangelos and other stuff. By the time we got home, ate our Wendy's taco salads, read your journal, answered the phone, called the Aunts to let them know we got home (they forgot we were going anywhere), I am honest, I forgot to write, and crashed instead. I forget things very easily, even when I am thinking about it. I walked across the street to the mailbox, yesterday, all the time thinking that we didn't have to go to Max Meadows for the mail, as the Post Office was closed. :)

I want each of you, Catrons 6, Nick and Malea, to know that I not only love you beyond description and appreciate you, but I value each of you beyond measure. Your distictive qualities are of the greatest importance in making you who you are, which is very valuable and lovable.

McKenzie, I hope you know you are precious to us, as the others are. I hope you enjoyed your four days of e-mail birthday cards. (Sorry, Kota Jo, I forgot to alert you to watch for them.) I tried calling you so Grandpa and I could verbally give you our wishes and love, but no one was home.

Praying God's blessings and favor to rest upon each of you!
