Well today is just another day of complete pain and agony for Jess. Last night Jesse vomited so much blood, it was a very unusual amount. The doctors though just said that because her sores are starting to bleed, the blood then runs down her throat into her stomach. Of course, shes going to throw all of that up.
Her pain medication that she controls through the PCA has no affect on her. Her mouth hurts more than ever and now her hands are at a level 10 of pain. The doctors are going to take an x-ray of her hands to see if an infection of some sort has started to form. Before I left the hospital, Jesse just got done having a CT scan to check out her lungs. I pray and hope that nothing serious is wrong with her and that they'll be able to figure what medication is going to help relieve the pain.
Since having our new neighbor, a 17 year old girl whose having her appendix removed, I had a suspicious feeling that she had a cold. I listened closely when I heard her sniff and try to clear her throat. When her boyfriend came to visit he also was coughing. I knew they were both sick so I told the nurse and since they didn't witness any of it, they had to wait and see for themselves to see if they really did have a cold. Well...turns out they did and from what they told me they are currently trying to move her to the 3rd floor.
With all that Jesse is going through, you would think that she could have her own room. Really, the only other patient that can room with Jess is a baby and I don't think that will work either. It's impossible to get any sleep and that's exactly what Jesse needs so that she doesn't feel any pain.
LORD PLEASE HELP US!!!!
I can only imagine that the rest of this day is going to be a nightmare.
Please pray that the nurses will find and give Jess the right amount of medication that will ease her pain. Pray that the Lord will lay his hands on her and protect her from the sickness that has entered her room. Oh, and also pray that God will relieve me of the cold that I just caught. It's going to be hard on my family now that I'm not able to help out and stay with Jesse for who knows how long.
God bless you all!
