9th Day of Recovery

Good Morning,

Jesse is still trying to recover from the bone marrow biopsy. She threw up all night and this morning. She did however just eat some mandarin oranges and chocolate milk. So far so good. She has lost an additional 2 lbs just since the biopsy on Monday. It is weird how some moments it seems life is completely normal, the other day we were all playing Phase 10 a card game and no one would skip Jesse because she has Leukemia :) Another sister moment was when I was yelling at Dakota about the plugged bathroom sink, and Jo said well it isn't my hair so I am not fixing it, Jesse walks in and says "well it isn't mine either" :) And then there are moments where all of us sisters are sitting on Jo's bed watching TV and Jesse starts throwing up in her puke bucket and then it hits me that life isn't the same or normal for that matter. While the rest of the family sits around the dinner table eating and talking, Jesse is in a different room, sleeping or trying not to throw up. I was talking to Mom this morning about how hard it must be to stay strong when the light at the end of the tunnel is still so far away. We are still waiting for the results on her bone marrow test, praying for all negative results! We will provide an update as soon as we hear, thank you for your continued support and prayers.

Grandma and Grandpa said...

Catrons 6:
Did anyone ever tell you
just how special you are?
The Light that you emit
might even light a star.
Did anyone ever tell you
how important you make others feel?
Someone out here is smiling,
Because of something you said,
or something you did!
"You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it gives light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men , that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in Heaven." Matthew 5:14-16.
Your united lights are shining brightly. Don't get discouraged, God is faithful. Stand strong in the Faith. Remember, anything hanging is subject to the surrounding circumstances and can be blown in every direction. Place both feet firmly on solid ground, and you will stand firm, not be blown around. (Wednesday's sermonette:))

Jesse love, when your head is bent over that puke bucket, your vision is pretty narrow; but when you raise your head and look up, your vision is very broad and you can see lots of things God has blessed you with!

We love you all!!

I am at a loss for words. I guess that I can only imagine what the situation might be like, imagining doesnt come close.

But the reality that you can know....we are praying!

My prayer is that you are feeling held. That you would feel the Lord's embrace...it being possible for you to feel His arms individually and collectively....together as a family.

I just pray for healing. Healing of your heart and healing of your spirits. Healing of Jess's stomach and bone marrow.

Lord,

Lavish your love on this family that continues to be faithful. Capture all thoughts of doubt or fear in your name and replace them with praises and healing. Lord, please carry Jess. Continue to demonstrate your touch through a nurse, doctor or even a needle.

If you get a chance....check out Jeremy Camp's new song "There will be a day."

Enjoy.

Love you guys,

Sammy

JESUS loves you!!

Good Morning Team C! I pray that your day starts well, filled with praise and power...strength and hope! GOD has made a beautiful morning for you which will turn into a glorious afternoon, followed by an evening of Love and peace, power and joy... what an awesome day, eh? Tomorrow should be more of the same...

Jesse - is it me, or is the whole "shredded wheat and chocolate milk" thing a little weird... (of course, look who's talking about weird, right?)

Anyway, I wanted to echo your Grandparent's "sermonette" and encourage you (all) that while the light at the end of the tunnel may seem far away at times...remember that the LIGHT (capital letters) is none other than JESUS CHRIST the Light of the World! Our Hope and Salvation!

HE is ever-present and always with you - even in the darkest night, or saddest hour. HE is LORD of your joy and LORD of your strength. HE is also LORD of your illness, and LORD of your puke bowl.

It is not your illness that glorifies the LORD, nor will it be your recovery, JESSE... HIS glory, is your dependence and devotion to HIM during your trial. HIS greatest joy is the smile on your face when others are downcast. HIS triumph is your persistence and your endurance when others would give up and give in. HIS great pleasure is your strength and encouragement that you give to others through your ordeal.

OK, that's enough preaching... JESSE, I'm very proud of you! Have a super-ly duper-ly day! GOD Bless you and your family.

Let your light shine!
Woo-HOO!
GOD Bless you!
