Well, we are re-admitted to the hospital, Jesse's ANC is 1400. It went very smoothly, and we even ended up in a private room for now. They are short on space, and they wont allow Jesse to room with a teenage boy, (your welcome Matt) so we are in the bone marrow transplant room.
Her first dose of chemo will start in a few hours, so she will be hooked back up to her old friend Baxter (the med pole).
It was actually nice to see all the friendly nurses again. Everyone greets you and makes you feel welcome.
We did find out that they made an error regarding the bone marrow match. At first they said neither Dakota or Mckenzie was a match, but it turns out that Mckenzie is a perfect match. She scored 6 out of 6 for all the matching points. This is just nice to know in case she ever has a relapse. We will do our best to keep Mckenzie safe and secure!!
Jesse is in good spirits, and knows this is the process she must go through. She is a brave young lady, and warms our hearts to see her going though this without complaining and being to discouraged. It is also encouraging to see a couple other kids in here that are just about finished with all of the rounds and will be going home for good. That will be us one day in the near future. This is just a short journey compared to the long life of blessings we have to look forward to.
