Recovery Day 7

Wow, we had a great night. Before we went to bed, Jesse wanted me to see what "Edward Scissor Hands" had done to her hair. Lets just say, Clent is not ready to work at Super Cuts. We shaved the rest of her hair down, she now looks like GI Jane!!! But, this is no surprise to me, Jesse is gorgeous with or without hair. Jesse is so strong, not a single tear was shed over all her hair falling out in one day.

She went most of the day and night without to much of a fever, right now she is 98.6. Her day today is just rest and a shower.

She is allergic to one of the medications, she broke out in a rash last night, they just need to figure out which one.

Jesse is really excited that her big sister Lindsay is coming in tonight from Oregon. She will get to see her Monday morning. What a blessing to have them all together.

We are still amazed at the tremendous blessing this illness is having on other people. We are so encouraged when you tell them to us, please keep writing.

Jesse's ANC count yesterday was at 8. ANC is the white blood cell count that fights bacteria. A normal person has 1000 to 1500. Jesse needs to have 250 in order to go home for a week. We are praying that hers just shoots up, and we get to go home much earlier than anyone would expect.

Thank you so much for your prayers and support, it keeps us going hour by hour.

It is so good to see how everyone is helping even down to cleaning the swim pool.

I'll pray for your ANC count to "shoot up" as your mom put it, to 250.

Lots of people all over the country are praying for you. HOpe to get to come for a "very short" visit soon. Was tempted to bring guitar and sing in the hallway but Meg and Joel said to spare you that! You've hear the voice... you are spared!

Also Anjie prays for you every night.

I told my husband that if anyone could be beautiful without hair it would be Jesse. She is so beautiful on the inside it is pouring out of her with or without hair. We are praying for her daily. God bless you all.

J.O.D- Totally Bats

Two bats are going for their midnight feed.

After an hour or so, one bat gets tired of looking and goes home with no blood.

The other bat comes home with blood dripping from its mouth. The first bat says enviously, "Where did you get all that blood from?"

The second bat replies, "Follow me. I`ll show you."

After awhile the second bat leads them to a cave. He says, "You see that wall over there?"

The hungry bat excitedly says, "Yes!"

Other bat says, "I didn't."
( i hopre you're enjoying these as much as I am haha!)

love you! ttyl!

Hey Jesse!
Glad to hear your doing a little better. I'm sorry that you lost your hair though. But like the update said, your probably still as gorgeous as ever. :) I really hope that you get to go home this week. I will definitely be praying for that tonight!
Sincerely,

Hello Jesse Girl and all the family; we are ALL rejoicing with you; the Aunts,Uncles,Cousins, and us. It is so good to hear you are doing better. I am trusting God for great things for you.
I went to church today, and people came up to tell me that God had laid you on their hearts, and they were really praying for you. One of my friends from my Portland church called tonight, and said alot of my church family there are praying for you. They want your web site until they can follow your progress as God continues to touch you with His love, blessings and favor.

I am so glad to hear that Lindsay was able to get down. How wonderful it will be for all of you to be together for a few days: and how marvelous that you are feeling better and can enjoy her visit!

Aunt Merna, Woody and Unc send their love and prayers to you.

We love you dearly.

Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord. Psalms 31:24
