FIRST DAY AT HOME

Wow, what a day yesterday was. We ended up not getting out of the hospital until 6:00pm. We arrived at home near 7:00. Jesse's first stop was to see Jericho-see had tears of joy to see him, but was not able to get in the kitchen with him, we are afraid he will scratch her and cause an infection.

The home health nurse showed up at 8:30 with 4 big boxes of medication. Oh No, Nursing is not on our resume. We basically have the same pole and pump she had at the hospital, sorry Jesse, she thought she was free of that for awhile. The nurse had Clent and I administer the first bag of saline IV to help the kidneys with the medication. That runs for 38 minutes. Then we start the IV medication, and that runs for 1 hour. It finally hit us that she will get this 3x a day. 4:30am-6:00am, 12:30pm-2:00pm and 8:30pm-10:00pm. They forgot to put anytime in for us to sleep. We need to do these together at first, because we both make small errors, that could become big problems for Jesse. Just touching one thing after handwashing sends us back for another cleaning. If we didn't fully appreciate every nurse in the hospital, we do now!!

Jesse is still vomiting, and has not held food down for 3 days. So if this continues today, we have to call in, and see what they will have us do. Ultimately it could mean going back to the hospital for tpn.

A special thanks to Michele Alvarez and Erica Shubin for sterilizing our house and making a great chicken soup!!!
Hug a Nurse today, they deserve it:

HEY,

It was amazing seeing you back in your own home petting jericho and back on your couch. althought you still felt abit sick and tired the feeling had to have been great to get out of there and be back where you belong. haha watching your parents last night was fun as they learned all that they had to do, it really does look like a tough job with important steps that need to be met, but it looks like they'll get it and you'll survive:) can't wait to see you today I miss you already, stay strong, always keep your head up, and enjoy your stay at home babe:) LOVE YOU and will see you soon :)

Hey Jesse! That is AWESOME that you're home! What a relief. Just in time for Thanksgiving! I can't imagine what you're dealing with...which just once again proves what strength you posess! Praying for you especially today that you feel better... and that you can enjoy this weekend while you're feeling great! All those medicines must seem frustrating, but we know that you need them and we're praying that the aren't too much of an annoyance to you.

I find this verse encouraging in situations like yours:

Psalm 71:20-24
Though you have made me see troubles, many and bitter, you will restore my life again; from the depths of the earth you will again bring me up.

You will increase my honor and comfort me once again.

I will praise you with the harp for your faithfulness, O my God; I will sing praise to you with the lyre, O Holy One of Israel.

My lips will shout for joy when I sing praise to you-- I, whom you have redeemed.

My tongue will tell of your righteous acts all day long, for those who wanted to harm me have been put to shame and confusion.

Keep strong, you are doing SO well. :)

Jesse and Family,

How Great is our God!!!! AWESOME that's right.

Clent and Deanna, rest when you can. Sounds like the schedule will be a little tough.

Many Blessings for the Holiday to you and your family.

Hello Jesse & Catron family-
I hope your first day at home is going well, and you are All able to take breaks & relax throughout the day.
Just remember, "I can do All Things through Christ who strengthens me."
If you thought you were a close family before.... wow!! When this is all over, God's going to use your testamony for so many families. Just think of all you've learned and have been able to do (Before, if you got a Glimpse of this you would have said No Way!!) Way!!!
We love you all and will continue to pray for all of you.
I'm Glad to hear you were able to eat the chicken soup.
God Bless your Family, and I pray you all get some really good REM sleep between IV's.

Praying, still praying, and I will continue to pray for you. I've been blessed to see so many people wearing bracelets with your name on them Jesse. Everytime I see one, I thank the Lord for their prayers for you!

I pray that God will settle your stomach and give you some rest from the nausia. That is really rough.

I love you guys! We'll have to wait to be completely healthy before we come to see you.

Hello Catrons 5, We are trusting Jesse's tummy has settled down, and she is doing much better this evening. How our hearts hurt, that you all are going through so much, and we are so far away and can't help! I am so glad that God is our Strong Tower, and we can all shelter in Him. I am so thankful for your dear friends who are there to help you, and write such wonderfully encouraging messages! They seem to be able to tell you everything I want to, and never can express. But I talk to our God about you, 24/7, and I know He hears my heart's cry and my praise, and wraps His arms around you for me, giving you more strength, peace and rest than I ever could in myself. And sends those kind, loving friends to do for you what I can't.
Grandpa and I love you all so very, very much. Give each other hugs for us. Jesse girl, you are going to be well and strong and whole, and don't you forget it for one minute!

Jesse and Family:
It has been some years since i have seen you all. Looking through your pictures is just crazy. When you left Oregon your girls were just kids and now they are all grown up and so beautiful. I admire you clent and dee. i admire how well you have raised your children for them to be such strong mature christians. i admire your strength and dependance upon the Lord to get you all thru this time and most of all I admire your ability to see through this darkness your family is going through and see how God is using your precious baby for good in others lives. Let me tell you,as if you cant tell from everyone else's postings, that you have changed inspired and continue to give so many people hope faith and love like never before.
jesse-
oh how i cant even begin to imagine what this trial is like for you. you are such a strong and wise young adult. it amazes me each posting i read at how strong you are thru it all. you have been thru so much already and to know there is more ahead would devastate most... and im sure it does you but you rise above it and go on to conquer it. just continue to take God's hand. he will lead you thru this and you will be strong than ever before... mentally, emotionally and best of yet spiritually.
i pray for each and every one of you daily. i hope that your time at home is the best that it can be. i hope you are able to enjoy a thanksgiving dinner even just a little bit and that your time home with you family is fantastic.
love always
