Good Morning Prayer Warriors,
I hope all had a good night sleep. It is amazing the things we take for granted. I know Jesse has not slept more than three hours (normally 2) straight since we started this 24 days ago. She is looking forward to going home and sleeping in her own bed. What a blessing that will be to have all my family (all but one...but she is married) under one roof again.
Speaking of all my family...Jesse's oldest sister Lindsay is here today. She flew in without her husband and daughter just to be with Jesse for the week. How cool is that! I have all my girls together again.
Jesse ran a temp of 103.6 last night. We iced her down to cool her off. She didn't throw up after 4:30 last evening so that is cool too. Her ANC count is 13 so that is climbing ...slowly. She is getting a dose of platelets for breakfast. The Cat Scan that was suppose to happen a couple days ago will happen today (maybe). They are looking for any change in her intestinal track, that is inflamed, that has caused this virus they are trying to fight. I guess for the most part these battles she is going through is standard for the Leukemia and Chemo battle. It's the other things, like a rash from the medicine and the back pain we started with (which caused the drugs experiments to see what would work and which ones made her sick) that tears me up. We have been assured that the next treatment will go better (I hope so).
Not much else to report. All the things people write in really encourage all of us. The love and kindness is a testimony of what great friends and family Jesse has.
God bless you all and hug your kids, wife, husband (even your mother-in-law) and tell them how much you love them. It will make you both feel better :)
