Day 8 of Recovery

Good Morning Prayer Warriors,

I hope all had a good night sleep. It is amazing the things we take for granted. I know Jesse has not slept more than three hours (normally 2) straight since we started this 24 days ago. She is looking forward to going home and sleeping in her own bed. What a blessing that will be to have all my family (all but one...but she is married) under one roof again.

Speaking of all my family...Jesse's oldest sister Lindsay is here today. She flew in without her husband and daughter just to be with Jesse for the week. How cool is that! I have all my girls together again.

Jesse ran a temp of 103.6 last night. We iced her down to cool her off. She didn't throw up after 4:30 last evening so that is cool too. Her ANC count is 13 so that is climbing ...slowly. She is getting a dose of platelets for breakfast. The Cat Scan that was suppose to happen a couple days ago will happen today (maybe). They are looking for any change in her intestinal track, that is inflamed, that has caused this virus they are trying to fight. I guess for the most part these battles she is going through is standard for the Leukemia and Chemo battle. It's the other things, like a rash from the medicine and the back pain we started with (which caused the drugs experiments to see what would work and which ones made her sick) that tears me up. We have been assured that the next treatment will go better (I hope so).

Not much else to report. All the things people write in really encourage all of us. The love and kindness is a testimony of what great friends and family Jesse has.

God bless you all and hug your kids, wife, husband (even your mother-in-law) and tell them how much you love them. It will make you both feel better :)

Good morning, Catron family!

Clent, my family and I are still praying for your family, especially your daughter. Truly, both your wife's and your blog entries are SO heartfelt that it brings tears to my eyes. My heart is heavy for what you have to witness your child go through. Whereas, you have all girls, I have three boys whom I love dearly. Continue to be strong and I know everything will be fine soon.

Jesse, please continue to be strong and brave. You WILL overcome this disease. We will continue to keep you in our prayers.

I am still praying that the ANC will "SHOOT" up to 250. Miracles happen. God is good no matter what we see.

I am so glad that Lindsey is able to come and visit her sister Sisters are amazing and special and it is good that she can be there. Having the family all together is so special.

Jess: I am adding my favorite pic of you and Meg. She emailed me some from her phone too that I will add later. Enjoy the time with your sister. Love you girl.

Lord,

I lift up Jesse to you! Lord heal her body, let her rest and Lord specifically allow her ANC count to rise. Lord give Jesse the opportunity to go home and be in the comfort of her own bed, surrounded by her family and Your arms. Thank you for making it possible for Lindsay to visit. Be strong and lavish your love on her. Lord give the Catrons rest, let them abide in You and pull from your strength and understanding. Lord, you have a wonderful family that is proclaiming your name. Blessed be your name Lord.

Amen.

We love you Catrons, big hugs and kisses to AZ. Keep up the healing.

Blessings,

Sammy Jo

I am amazed at the strength and will power that is inside of you. You have gone through more than most of us could ever imagine and yet you remain positive and strong through it all. I wish nothing but the best for you and your family and will continue to follow you on your journey to recovery.

p.s. I would like to know what kind of medication they have put you on to allow Clent to cut your hair. I should have warned you about that one:) He is probably just a little rusty because he hasn't had to cut any hair for a few years J/K. Seriously, I hope everything gets better from here.
