Good Morning Prayer Warriors,
This is Jesse at the Womens Retreat (the sign holder for the grape skit)
It's Sunday and the Lords day. Dee and I really miss going to church and the fellowship with friends. A special thanks to the Shubins for taking the other girls to church today. They have been a huge help to us.
I finally had a nurse last night like Dee and Lindsay experienced. She was very quite and thoughtful and tried to let Jesse sleep through all of her routine checks. The beeper only went off a few times. The rest of the time she was on top of it. The several medications they are giving her to protect her Kidneys, from the HHV6 medication, causes her to go to the bathroom about every hour. We didn't sleep much.
Great news! Her ANC count went up to 180. She wants food again this morning but the Doctors won't let her eat as long as she is still throwing up. This fever, throwing up, and diarrhea has been going on now for a good 2 weeks. It's become a normal day. I can't imagine going two days like this in the normal world.
Orders from the Gestapo (Dee) have been implemented and during the daytime, when Jesse feels good enough, we make her walk to the "big girls" potty room. Her legs need the exercise so she doesn't get to weak.
Jesse is doing school work and trying to keep up with her blocks so she can graduate in about 7 months. She is a real soldier to be trying to do all this with her present issues.
Thanks again for all the blogs and emails. It is really a blessing. Today would be a great day to hold hands with your significant other (or children), look into their eyes, and tell them just how much they mean to you. Life is always better when you meet in the middle and share.
God bless you all
