Day 14 of Recovery

Good Morning Prayer Warriors,

This is Jesse at the Womens Retreat (the sign holder for the grape skit)

It's Sunday and the Lords day. Dee and I really miss going to church and the fellowship with friends. A special thanks to the Shubins for taking the other girls to church today. They have been a huge help to us.

I finally had a nurse last night like Dee and Lindsay experienced. She was very quite and thoughtful and tried to let Jesse sleep through all of her routine checks. The beeper only went off a few times. The rest of the time she was on top of it. The several medications they are giving her to protect her Kidneys, from the HHV6 medication, causes her to go to the bathroom about every hour. We didn't sleep much.

Great news! Her ANC count went up to 180. She wants food again this morning but the Doctors won't let her eat as long as she is still throwing up. This fever, throwing up, and diarrhea has been going on now for a good 2 weeks. It's become a normal day. I can't imagine going two days like this in the normal world.

Orders from the Gestapo (Dee) have been implemented and during the daytime, when Jesse feels good enough, we make her walk to the "big girls" potty room. Her legs need the exercise so she doesn't get to weak.

Jesse is doing school work and trying to keep up with her blocks so she can graduate in about 7 months. She is a real soldier to be trying to do all this with her present issues.

Thanks again for all the blogs and emails. It is really a blessing. Today would be a great day to hold hands with your significant other (or children), look into their eyes, and tell them just how much they mean to you. Life is always better when you meet in the middle and share.

God bless you all

Hi: I'm Rita Sellars from Oregon.
my grandson Nick is married to Lindsay and Malea. I've only met

enough for me.
I want to commend Jesse's parents
you are so dedcated to your family and your God.
I follow Jesse's progress each day
and add a little extra prayer for all of you. She has many prayer

Thank you for your words of inspiration! I know you all miss family and home life and church.

Remember the verse about where two or more are gathered there am I in the midst of them. Where you are gathered includes that little hospital room. I pray that God will minister to you through each other deeply today.

I pray you will have a chance to have fellowship and communion. Bless you and tell Jesse I am very glad her ANC is up today.
Love you DARLA
PS I have a verse for you all - I couldn't find the song. Click on my name to see the verse if you want.

Hello dear Jesse and family,
Sorry I didn't send you a note yesterday. I was gone all day to a Women's Christmas Expo, with Avon. By the time I got home, said hello to Grandpa and read your journal, I was asleep.
Please thank your friend Darla for sending you Zeph. 3:17. I was going to do that, but it wouldn't have been with all of the different versions and explanations.
We have been studying the book of Job in Sunday School. Have you read the book? I was so impressed with how much faith God had in Job. We always talk about having faith in God, and never think about Him having faith in us. Job was a righteous man who loved God. God had enough faith in him to allow Satan to tempt him. Satan was so sure Job would turn his back on God, if he lost everything and was ill. Satan took everything away from Job: children, livestock, land, money, every thing he had, then touched his body and made him ill with infectous boils all over his body. Job's wife turned against him and told him to curse God and die. His friends turned against him, telling him that he had sinned or these things would never have happened to him. Also said his children had sinned or they would not have died. In chapter 13:15, Job said of God, "Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him; but I shall maintain my own ways before Him. (16) He also shall be my salvation, for a hyprocrite shall not come before Him." Chapter 37:23 says 'Touching the Almighty, we cannot find Him out: He is excellent in power and in judgement, and in plenty of justice: He will not afflict.' In the end, God blessed Job with twice as much as he had before.
I think, Jesse girl and family, God has alot of faith in you. You WILL be well, Jesse, and God is going to bless you abundantly!
We love you all so very much; and you are always in our thoughts, prayers and praise.

I'm so sorry for somewhat, a hard week. I'm glad that your ANC count went up, and that you are feeling like eating. I was up thinking about you all night, because I couldn't sleep. Iwas thinking about you, and my best friend who can barley walk right now because of hip problems. (my dog Dinky:) I cried because I'm so overly stressed right now.....but then I have it so easy compared to you, so i just stopped and prayed for you, and him. I still didn;t sleep, but i felt for some reason that you needed prayer.
I'm sontinue to pray for you whenever I think about you, and when I get the chance. I love you Jesse, and remember that God never gives us anything too much that we can't handle. Unfotunetly sometimes we feel like he is being unfair, I would too. But just remeber that he loves you. :)

(JOKE OF DAY)Dick Cheney walks into the Oval Office and sees The President whooping and hollering.

"What's the matter, Mr. President?" The Vice President inquired.

"Nothing at all, boss. I just done finished a jigsaw puzzle in record time!" The President beamed.

"How long did it take you?"

"Well, the box said '3 to 5 Years' but I did it in a month!"

(btw, I had nothing wrong with Bush, I just thought this was pretty cute. haha)
