Our Dearest Jesse,
We want to present this book to you for many reasons. First, and foremost, is to tell you how incredibly proud we are of you. You are our inspiration in so many ways. At times what you couldn't say, because of what you were going through, you said to us with your eyes or a faint smile. You kept us hanging on in those late night battles because of your strength. When so many things were going wrong with you and your treatment you would reach out and hold our hand and without a word tell us everything would be all right. That is a parents job to be strong. You showed courage way beyond your years. We love you so much for that.
Your life has touched so many people in more ways than you will ever know. Even our family was strengthened and learned more about trusting in God than we ever thought possible. It was an incredibly scary journey with more pain and suffering than the normal person (and family) should have to go through. But through it all your faith stayed intact. As the healing process is starting we still see your "heart" and how encouraged we are that God is still first in your life.
Jesse, we want to say how much we love you and want to thank you for being a part of our life. We have been blessed with four beautiful daughters. The thought of loosing you, or any of our children, is more than we could bare. This book will be a reminder of the tragedies of life and how close we were to loosing you. Life is unpredictable and can be changed in a blink of an eye. Keep your heart and your eyes on the Lord and regardless of the situation you are in you will know that He is with you. Trust Him.
We love you so much Jesse.
